Today’s greatness is reflected
In the individual’s body
You can dress well
You can move fast
You can eat a lot
You can reach far
You can ignore everyone.
But look around you
Water is polluted
The soil is dead
People are annoying
And your body is sick
A quiet mind is for the dead
Birds sings every morning
Rivers flows non stop
And a tree is a bridge between kingdoms.
And where are you?
Still trying to get breastfed from capitalism?
Praying for a holiday,
but later, because now
You have to work.
You wish for more space,
a bigger car and a little bit of silence, because is loud out there.
Everything has always been connected.
The retreat didn’t teach you anything new
It just added a new obsession
Into your to do list.
Wake up
Take a rest
Stretch
Think
Don’t think
Meditate
Stay in silence
Speak for yourself
Don’t take everyone’s shit
Be kind
It’s hard to be humble
When they live in impunity
When they take what is yours
When they ask you for help
But they hate you as well.
When you needed help
They gave you the bill
When you wanted some freedom
They started a new war
When you needed to rest
They launched a new drug
And it was fucking free
You don’t need silence
You don’t need to quiet your mind
You need your agency back
Justice and your sense of belonging
To earn what is yours
To share what you know
And to live how you want.
